Python Developer (AI / RAG / Automation)
We're looking for a Python Developer to build and scale AI-powered backend services that automate workflows, analyse emails/documents, and deliver secure, permission-based Q&A and reporting. You'll work on production-grade APIs, data pipelines, and retrieval systems (RAG/GraphRAG) in a privacy-first environment (on-prem / customer-controlled).
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain FastAPI services (REST endpoints, auth, background jobs, rate limiting)
- Implement RAG / GraphRAG pipelines: chunking, embeddings, retrieval, re-ranking, citations, evaluation
- Integrate and operate databases like ElasticSearch/FAISS/Vector DB for semantic search
- Implement permissions & governance (role-based access, audit logs, data boundaries across departments)
- Integrate with LLMs (local inference via Ollama / APIs when needed), prompt orchestration, tool calling
- Write tests, improve performance, monitor services, and support deployments (Docker/Linux)
- Collaborate with product/ops to turn business processes into automations and templates
Requirements (Must-have)
- Strong Python (3+ years) and clean coding practices
- Experience with FastAPI (or Flask/Django + willingness to adopt FastAPI)
- Solid understanding of SQL/NoSQL, APIs, and backend architecture
- Comfortable with Docker, Linux environments, and Git
- Experience parsing documents (PDF/Office files) and handling structured/unstructured data
Nice-to-have
- RAG tooling (LangChain/LlamaIndex or custom), embeddings (BGE/Sentence Transformers), evaluation
- Background processing (Celery/RQ/Arq), Redis, message queues
- Security/compliance basics (least privilege, encryption, auditability)
- MLOps / deployment patterns (CI/CD, monitoring, logging, metrics)
System Administrator / Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer (AWS + Multi-Cloud)
RaceMyDesk is building a privacy-first AI platform that runs securely inside customer environments (cloud and on-prem). We're looking for a System Administrator / Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to own our infrastructure operations across AWS and other cloud providers, ensuring security, scalability, reliability, and cost control. You will design, deploy, harden, monitor, and automate our environments from development to production.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize infrastructure across AWS (primary) and additional providers (as needed)
- Design scalable architecture: VPC/networking, subnets, routing, security groups, load balancers, autoscaling
- Deploy and maintain production services using Docker and (optional) Kubernetes/ECS
- Implement security best practices: IAM least privilege, MFA, key rotation, secrets management, encryption at rest/in transit, WAF/firewall rules, audit logs, compliance-ready monitoring
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation (Terraform preferred)
- Observability: set up monitoring, logging, alerting (CloudWatch/Prometheus/Grafana/ELK)
- Reliability engineering: backups, restore testing, DR plans, incident response, root-cause analysis, performance tuning and capacity planning
- Cost management: tagging strategy, budget alerts, rightsizing, reserved instances/savings plans
- Support customer deployments (cloud and/or on-prem): installation guides, secure configs, troubleshooting
- Document infrastructure, runbooks, and operational procedures
Must-have Requirements
- 3+ years in system administration / DevOps / cloud infrastructure roles
- Strong hands-on AWS experience (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, CloudWatch; plus ALB/NLB)
- Security mindset: hardening, access cntColor" stroke-width="2">
Linux administration (Ubuntu/Debian), networking fundamentals (DNS, TLS, firewalls) - Docker in production; ability to debug containers and services
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform (or CloudFormation + willingness to move)
- Comfortable owning production uptime and handling escalations
Nice-to-have
- Kubernetes (EKS), ECS, or Nomad experience
- Experience with multi-tenant systems and customer-isolated deployments
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks (SOC 2 / ISO 27001 principles)
- Experience with VPNs, zero-trust networking, SSO (SAML/OIDC), MDM concepts
- Experience supporting GPU workloads (for AI inference) and performance tuning
